Have you heard about ALMA? Avon recently launched the new system, ALMA, Avon Leads Management Application. If you are in Avon Leadership, ALMA delivers leads to you. A lead is a prospect who has shown interest in starting a business, and your opportunity to grow your own Avon Team.
Avon ALMA

Who is ALMA available to?
ALMA is available to active Avon Unit Leaders and above, who have qualified to participate in Lead Share.

  • Have a minimum of at least 3 team orders. (I prefer to have more than 3, so keep on growing!)
  • Your personal sales must be a minimum of $200 per campaign. (This does include order you receive on your Avon Online Store.)
  • Your team sales per campaign must be $1200+. (This is your sales plus the sales of your team members.)

Note:  NEW Advanced Leadership Launches in C-17 2015

How does an active Avon Unit Leader qualify to participate in Lead Share?
To qualify for Lead Share, an active Unit Leader (or higher) should:
  • Have 2 recruits every 3 campaigns and maintain your Leadership status.
  • Complete the required classes on the Avon University, the ALMA, Lead Share Program and Leads Conversion Success!
  • Opt In on the Lead Manager found in your profile, on the My Account tab on youravon.com.

How do I check if I have leads?
Log into ALMA! You can launch ALMA from youravon.com, you can favorite the link, you can even download it on your phone! You can use your preferences to send you an alert when you receive a lead by email or text!

Avon Sales Tips: Get More from Traffic on your Avon Online Store

Avon Sales Tips: Get More from Traffic on your Avon Online Store

Avon representatives want to see more traffic hit their personal Avon online store. The more traffic you have to your Avon store, the more likely you are to recruit those visits to new team members or additional customers – placing orders, giving you more Avon orders, earning you more money! So, once you get your traffic, make sure your Avon Welcome page is encouraging visitors to take action. Have the tools in place to for your visitors to register as an Avon customer with you or sign up to become an Avon Representative on your Avon team.
Get Avon Customers

Avon Marketing on your Welcome page

You are working hard with your online marketing presence…using the Avon Social Media center, posting on Facebook, Twitter, and you have been blogging. You have been using Google Analytics or another website visitor analytic site to track visits. You can see visits…but where are the sales and recruits? I know, it seems discouraging, but do not give up! Appreciate the performance you see because boosting traffic is not an easy task, and that is an achievement to celebrate! Here are a few of my traffic conversion tips:

Customize your Avon eStore   Search engines, Google, Yahoo, Bing, explore the internet for websites that keep content fresh, updated and current. Avon campaigns switch every 2 weeks, so why not freshen your page every 2 weeks to reflect the new campaign book, current coupon codes, the dates the new campaign will be available on your Avon eStore. Add an image, a hyperlink to a specific Avon product, or other helpful information.

Use the Avon blog   The Avon blog page is an additional piece of your Avon eStore that is rummaged by search engines, to keep that up to date just as you would your Welcome page. I like to add to my Avon page blog several times a week with specific product information, my personal reviews, daily specials, how to sign up to sell Avon.
Avon Blog Renee

Avon eStore Widgets to Use   Receiving information from your visitors is very important. It gives you additional information to market to the individual based on the expressed interest. Adding the Believe in your Business widget will allow potential new team members to sign up on your team. This widget takes them to the Avon representative sign up page, with your Avon referral code already filled in, and they can join Avon right away! Displaying the eNewsletter sign up allows your visitors the opportunity to sign up for Avon emails, and gives you contact information. Why not reach out? Thank the visitor for stopping by and signing up, offer to mail a brochure, ask if there is anything you can do to help with that visitor’s Avon needs? What a nice personal touch!

Avon Automated Email Program   Turn your Avon emails on!! It is very easy for a customer to unsubscribe if they want to, so do not be afraid to turn it on. You will actually be surprised at how many customers stay subscribed. Several of my sales come in on days when the automated email has sent out a great sale, deal, free shipping, or free gift. I have the promotional and the campaign emails turned on, and I am subscribed myself to see what’s happening every day. Go to Web Office in youravon.com, under eStore, select the personalization tool, and automated email programs are listed under customer preferences.

Mail Brochures   You can mail your own brochures, or you can use Campaign Mailer or Consultant Depot to get new catalogs out to your customers. I occasionally have a new customer sign up, and then no order. I will send that sign up new books for at least 2 months. Anyone who has ordered from my online Avon store in the last 4 months will receive a catalog in the mail as well. Most of my brochure mailed customers have become my most loyal customers and order every 1-2 months.

Avon Selling Tips: Charging Sales Tax

Avon Selling Tips: Charging Sales Tax
Do you know the Sales Tax for your area? Are you making sure to put the correct Sales Tax on your customer invoices for Avon orders? You can find the most current sales tax chart listed on the Avon representative site, youravon.com.

Once you have logged on to youravon.com with your account number and password, click the MY ACCOUNT tab.
On the left hand side, you will find TAX INFORMATION and when you select that, you will have more options.
Select FIND MY TAX RATE to view the chart, find your state and county as applicable.

How do you add the sales tax to customer invoices?

Once you have logged on to youravon.com, click the WEB OFFICE tab.
Under the choices for ESTORE, select PERSONALIZATION TOOL.
Avon eRep website personalization tool

From this page, you will be able to personalize information shown on your Avon representative website, sign up for the automated email program (which I highly recommend,) and CUSTOMER INVOICING.

Here you can set up your service charge (to help you make up for shipping and time spent sorting and delivering Avon product) and enter your Sales Tax. The service charge and sales tax you set up here will be your default amount on each invoice. As you invoice your customers, you can change the charge and sales tax on individual invoices as needed. To view invoice instructions, click: Invoicing

Avon Sales Tip: Update your Avon Welcome page with New Campaign book cover C8

Want to attract more traffic to your Avon online store? Keep it personalized! Search engines more often offer results of pages that are updated often, and contain information relevant to keyword searches. If you update your Avon online store for each campaign, you will have the information for the most current Avon information on your page. Your visitors to have a welcome page that is representative of you! I will walk you through the steps I took to update my Welcome page for my Avon online store for the Campaign 8 book. These steps will show you how to add a picture of the Avon campaign book on your Welcome page, and you add your own personal touch by adding a personal message of your own.

Step 1: Log on to youravon.com and select WEB OFFICE

Step 2: Select either the box titled EDIT MY ESTORE or EDIT ESTORE listed under ESTORE

Step 3: Choose the box you want to update on your Welcome page by selecting the pencil icon. I like to use the largest box.

Step 4: You will want to choose PERSONAL MESSAGE from the choices provided. Since I have already have a Personal Message saved, my information is already loaded. I will be changing Avon Campaign 7 over to Campaign 8.

Step 5: Adding the Campaign 8 book cover needs to be done in html code, so you will want to select the </> button. If you already have a personal message saved, you will see codes similar to what is illustrated in this picture – if you are not familiar with html, you can delete what you have (you will replace with code soon), and in a later step, you will be able to re-enter the information you want. If you are familiar with html, you can replace just the coding you need for the new Campaign book cover.

Step 6: Highlight and copy the code below:

Step 7: Paste the code into the box for your Personal Message. If you are familiar with html, you can replace just the coding you need for the Campaign 8 book cover.

Find in the code "repid=13450073" and replace "13450073" with your Avon account number. The number you use to log on to youravon.com.

Step 8: Select the </> button again to review what your customers will see when the reach your Avon online store on the Welcome page. Make sure everything is correct, and add a personal message as you would like.

Step 9: Create a label for your Personal Message, and the select SAVE.  MAKE SURE YOU SAVE YOUR WORK and do not use the X button, or you will lose all you have created!

Avon Selling tip: Avon marketing on Facebook

Avon Selling tip: Avon marketing on Facebook

Do you use Facebook to market your Avon business? I enjoy being on Facebook to connect with friends and family…but did you know Facebook is an excellent marketing resource for your Avon business? According to Tech Crunch (article dated 10/27/14) Facebook drives over 22% of social base traffic referrals to sites, just like your personal Avon representative site! Why wouldn’t you want to take part of that action, and get referrals to your Avon site!

Avon Business Page with Facebook
You can share your Avon business information on your personal website. However, keep in mind, your Facebook friends have connected with you because they are interested in you. If you flood your feed with all Avon posts, you may find some of your connections getting frustrated, and you will lose your audience. I occasionally post about my Avon business on my personal profile, but make sure to continue to post the personal type of information I like to share with friends and family – that’s why we connected in the first place!

If you have a personal profile with Facebook, you may also create a business page for all things Avon! With an Avon business page on Facebook, you will have a larger audience, and you can even buy advertising to grow your network! You may also build a group page and create events, like online Avon parties.

What to Post on an Avon Business Page
My goal is to post from my Avon Business Page daily. When I stay organized, I accomplish that, usually with the help of a post scheduler like www.bufferapp.com. I use posts and videos from youravon.com in the Social Media center under the Web Office tab, but that does not always get me through the full 2 week Avon campaign. So, here are a few other posts ideas for you:
  • Each new Avon campaign, create a new photo album. Start with the current Avon campaign book cover, and select several pages throughout the book. Use the campaign number in the title, and include your website address in the description.
  • Visit your Avon representative website daily; sometimes new promos are posted on the Avon representative site before we are notified by youravon.com. If a new promotion is on your Avon representative website, use that as a post. Promotions would include free shipping, free gift with purchase, coupon codes, discount codes. In your post, give your Avon representative url, instructions to use the promotion and expiration date.
  • Select a product. It can be a new product, one of your favorite products, a best seller, an outlet product, a current sale product (include special price information) any product you would like to use. Make sure to rotate through the type of products you post: if you used a make-up product in your last product post, use a skincare product next, then select fashion, jewelry, fragrance, men’s products, keep rotating through for a broader audience.
  • Recruit and earn leadership! Don’t forget, earning income with Avon does not have to be sales alone. Use your recruiting material to build a team. I try to keep a balance between posting to grow sales and posting to grow my Avon team by posting the Avon Opportunity as frequently as I post Avon products and specials.

Find Help and Help Others
There are several Avon groups on Facebook! Join these groups, and participate in discussions. You will be surprised at how wonderful and helpful established, successful Avon representatives are. These groups are positive forums, supportive feedback, celebration with others success and plenty of answers or inspiration or advise when you need it! Plus, many create and share images, labels, fundraising ideas and other helpful information with the group.

Follow business pages of other Avon representatives. Show your support to other Avon representatives, and if asked, help where you can. We all need help from someone at some point, and we all should be ready to help one another as well. Following Avon business pages of other Avon representatives will help to inspire you on the types of posts you want to use. Remember, another representative’s posts are their own work, so do not copy!

Avon Sales Tip: How to add to your Avon Order after Submitting

Avon Selling Tip: How to add to your Avon Order after Submitting
Hello Avon Representative! Ever had this happen to you? It’s your Avon order submit day. You have followed up with all of your Avon customers, collected orders, input them on yourAvon.com, and you click SUBMIT. All of your orders have been submitted with Avon, you are done. Next thing you know, your phone rings. One of your customers needs to add an order. If you create another order on yourAvon.com, you will get charged extra shipping, plus you will not have the privilege of the preferred shipping price.

Place the order on your eRep Avon Site!
If you are not already a registered Avon customer on your Avon eRep site, register now!

First, all Avon orders of $35 or more are FREE SHIPPING! If there is an order you forgot, or you get that last minute order after you have already submitted all your orders, shop that order on your site! Your online orders count towards your award sales, and you will receive a credit on your Avon account for the commission earned. (I usually get my eRep Avon website orders a day before my yourAvon.com orders arrive.)

Second, as a registered Avon customer on your own eRep Avon site, you will receive all the same emails your customers receive – you will know when there is free shipping, special free gifts, promo codes, new product announcements – you will see what your customers are seeing and you will be more prepared to answer any questions they might have about the emails.

Third, Avon has some products that are Avon online exclusives! There are some items we cannot order through yourAvon.com. If you are not logging onto your eRep Avon website, you could be missing out! I love the Planet Spa line, but if I were not active on my eRep Avon website, I would not have known anything about it. Not only would I have missed those products, but I would not have known about the products to speak to my customers about.

Avon Sales tip: Build your Avon Online Marketing Plan

Selling Avon Online can be very fruitful – once you have built up your online marketing. One of the first steps you should take to start Avon online marketing should be to add Google Analytics to your Avon eRep website. (For instructions on how to add Google Analytics to your Avon website, please visit Beauty Marketing: eRep,)

Using Google Analytics with your Avon website will help you to see how many page views you have had, unique visitors to your page, pages viewed, bounce rate; among many other helpful marketing tools. These tools help you gauge how your Avon website is performing from start. You will then see how your Avon online marketing changes the website performance, helping to better understand what drives traffic to your site, giving you strategy on what to focus on next.

The bounce rate…this is one tool that can be tricky to understand. Google informs the bounce rate is the percentage of website visitors to your page whom view one single page before exiting the website. Sounds fairly straight forward, right? It is, until you start to analyze your results. By this definition, a low bounce rate should be a good indication your visitors are moving past the Avon Welcome screen to view other pages, like your blog or shopping Avon products online from your Avon store. However, I have come across data that conflicts this belief…I have Google Analytics on some other pages I manage, and was so excited to see a bounce rate of 19%! I thought, wow, I have really done something interesting and engaging for my audience! I then turned my attention to average page views = 0.26. What? How do I have 81% of my visitors going to at least a second page, with an average number of pages viewed less than 1?

So, I researched…I searched, searched, searched, searched. One thing I learned very quickly, I am no expert in online marketing! (Don’t let that bother you; The beautiful thing is, to do well marketing Avon online, you do not have to be an expert in online marketing! You need a broad understanding, an open mind, determination to figure out what works…having the knowledge will help lead the way in online Avon sales, and you get to learn as you go!) So, if you have a great understanding of SEO, online marketing, and all the terms that go along with it, I do not have a ton of extra insight for you…if you are an Avon representative wanting to grow your Avon online sales with little knowledge of all that stuff, here is my little insight to help you along: The way Google Analytics measures your bounce rate has to do with a single interaction of a website: events, transactions, chat, email, ect. My conclusion for you is this; a lower bounce rate does show more interaction on your Avon website, but may not necessarily mean shopping on your site. It is still important to have a low bounce rate because you do want your customers engaged, but do not rely on just that bounce rate to determine the performance of your Avon website. Dig deeper in Google Analytics to find what pages your customers are going to, where they exit off from your Avon site. That will help you determine what your next goal should be in your Avon online marketing plan!

It’s not just about having people visit your Avon website; it’s keeping visitors on your website, engaged in content to drive them to be YOUR customer.
