Avon Selling Tips: Avon Campaign 05, 2015 – Demo time! Plan ahead.

Avon representatives receive a “What’s New” demo book in each order. The “What’s New” book helps Avon representatives to plan ahead for upcoming Campaigns. You will be able to use these books to order sales tools, samples, and new products before they are sold to the public. What a great way to give you time for using and review new products! Plus, you can have these products on hand as demonstration tools for your customers during the Campaign the product will debut.

Products in the “What’s New” demo book will display prices as what the product will be sold for, a price marked as “R” and a price marked as “PRP.” The “R” price is for Avon representatives. The “PRP” price is for Avon representatives who have achieved President’s Club or higher. Your President’s Club achievement level will determine how many of each demo product your are able to purchase at a time as well, unless the product is marked otherwise, like no limit.

Selling Avon: How do you sell Avon?

When you become an Avon Representative, you can sell Avon how you want to sell Avon! You are running your own business, on your own terms, during your own time. If you want to become a successful Avon representative, you certainly need to commit, research, and take action! I highly recommend connecting to successful Avon reps on social media and actively take part in conversations. Ask questions, visit the page often, and read what’s new or motivating. Share your success and celebrate the success of others! To sell more Avon, it is best to take advantage of all the areas of opportunity available.

 #1 Sell Avon at home – make your sales face to face, through friends, family, referrals, and using the power of 3 to approach new potential customer daily.

#2 Join Avon Leadership and build your team. Avon Leadership includes great benefits – my favorite benefit? Bonus checks! 

#3 Promote your Avon business online! Make sure to review the Avon policies and guidelines. Create a beauty blog, a Facebook Business page, a Pinterest page, a Twitter account…it may take time to build up an audience, but if you stick with it and stay consistent, your followers will grow!

Tips for selling Avon:
#1 Follow up! Anyone that receives a book should also receive a follow up call before you submit your order. When you give out your Avon books, you need to take up contact information. If the customer does not have a need for product when you are ready to submit, make sure to offer the next campaign book.

#2 Ask for referrals. Many people skip this step, and it can really grow your business! When you give out a book, encourage the customer to pass your book along. Tell them if they have a friend order, you will reward them. I like to give Avon gifts or a discount on the purchase. Tell them if they have anyone interested in selling Avon they will get a bigger reward. (Rewarding for referrals is up to you – be creative and have fun! When you make it worth her while, she won’t mind you asking and she won’t mind bringing in more customers for you!)

#3 Sell Avon Online. Don’t leave out your out of towners! Sign up to be an eRep, put your website address on every book! Selling Avon online is a great way to expand, plus with direct delivery, Avon will ship products straight to your customers and collect the money! To add a personal touch, send a hand-written thank you note to your customers.

#4 Avon Events – you can host your own open house or go to a local event! My local district sets up with participating businesses and we set up tables for recruitment with demo products for potential customers. You don’t have to do it alone! Reach out to your local Avon team members and plan some events together!

How much money do you make selling Avon at home?
When you sell Avon from home, your sales total per Campaign will determine your earnings. The more you sell the higher income you will receive. In order to profit, you will need an order of $50 or more. Each Campaign lasts for 2 weeks, giving you 26 orders per year. You submit your order to Avon, receive the order within 3-4 business days, and will need to pay for the order by the time the next Campaign is due. This gives you 2 weeks to make your customer deliveries and collect customer payments. Based on the sales chart, you will have an amount due to Avon, and the remaining amount you will keep as your earnings.

How much money do you make selling Avon online?
When an order is placed on your Avon website, it could be direct delivery or representative delivery. When representative delivery is selected, the order will be added to your order basket on www.youravon.com and submitted as a normal order, added to your Campaign sales and will be determined in the same manner as your normal orders.
When direct delivery is selected, the customer will submit payment at time of purchase and receive product via Avon, without the product coming to you first. You will receive 20% commission on these sales, and the credit for that commission is added to your Avon account as a credit. Avon pays out the balance of the credit accounts 2 times a month on credits of $25 or more.

Avon Selling Tips: Plan Ahead for Campaign 4, 2015

Avon Campaign 04, 2015 – What’s New Demo Book

Each order an Avon representative receives should contain an Avon “What’s New” demo book. The demo book is released prior to the official start of the labeled campaign for Avon representatives to be introduced to any new products that are coming up, browse through business tools and receive samples at discounted prices. You will be able to early these items before the labeled campaign so you will have samples and demonstration products to share with your customers.

The “What’s New” demo book will list the brochure price your customers will pay, the PRP price for representatives that are in President’s Club or higher, and the R price for all other Representatives. Your President’s Club ranking will also determine how many of each demo you will be allowed to order. For some items, the demo book will state there is no limit on demos, and you can order how many you would like regardless of President’s Club or not. (Please review the PRP section of www.youravon.com to review all the great privileges of earning President’s Club!)

You will be able to order from the “What’s New” demo book for the upcoming 2 campaigns, plus the current campaign. You can order from the “What’s New Campaign 4, 2015” demo book during campaigns 2, 3 and 4. During Campaign 4, 2015, you will be able to order from “What’s New” demo books for campaigns 4, 5 and 6.

Avon Selling Tips: Back Ordered Items

Back Ordered Items

No one likes having to tell customers that an item they have ordered hasn't come in. However, it happens…fortunately, Avon gives us additional information so we can stay informed and let our customers know what is happening with their Avon purchase.

Invoices
Each time you receive an order, you should receive an invoice in your box of Avon items, unless you have signed up to go paperless. Either way, you will have your invoice available on www.youravon.com under the “My Account” tab. In the left-hand column you can find the link to look up your invoices. The most recent will be listed on top. I like to save each invoice to my desktop.

The invoice will include an Order Summary with an overview of your Avon award sales and estimated earnings. Below that, if you have any items not available, you will see a section of “Items Not Available this Campaign.” It will include an expected ship by date, or comments letting you know what information is available at time of invoice. On the below example, some items are expected to be in the Campaign 26 order. Other items show, “Out of stock. Will ship when available.” Occasionally, you will see instructions to re-order or a statement that will say no longer available not available for re-order. You will notice, you are not billed for these items at time of invoice.


If you have previously had back orders, the following section is “Items Previously not Available.” It will show in the comments when the item was first ordered. You can find these items to invoice in “Web Office,” after clicking on the “Invoice Tool,” you can click on “Items on Backorder” to find the product and what customer the product belongs to. (For more on invoicing, go to: Invoicing)  Notice, you are billed for the items at this time, but the award sales were credited to you at the time you first order.


When delivering your Avon orders to your customers, be sure to let them know if they have items back-ordered, and when you expect to receive the items from Avon. Customers prefer to know upfront if they are not receiving an item. I like to write the information on the order as well.

Having back-orders can be frustrating, but remember – this is a common situation that occurs in sales. Keep yourself informed by reviewing your invoices, and let your customers know to avoid any further frustrations. If a customer decides they do not want to wait for the item, and choose to cancel – no problem! Just give Avon a call, and they will take care of you!
