Avon Leadership Tips: Fifth Order Email

When you have new Avon representatives sign up, it is important to keep in touch as he/she learns this new business. Within 24 hours of sing up, be sure to send your new rep a Welcome Email.

Within 2-3 days of the new rep’s first 8 order due dates, I send a reminder email of the order date. Each email I send out contains tips and tricks for becoming a successful Avon Representative. I previously posted the

Congratulations, Renee! Coming up is your 5th AVON order. (Tuesday)

This week is your 5th AVON order and you have been a rep for just over 2 months now CONGRATULATIONS!

A few tips and reminders:
1.      Be sure to reference your handy sales charts so you know where you are for your earnings. (Shown in your 4th order email.)
2.      Use your eRep website and your Avon Sign-up Link on all of your brochures, and add to your email signature.
3.      Social Media and blogging will help get your eRep website working for you. Be consistent, and use your tools!
4.      If you have not yet joined our helpful team site please do so today at http://reneemoreau4avntoday.blogspot.com
5.      As always we don’t know you need help unless we are hearing from you. So please do not hesitate to contact us if you need additional coaching or support. 

To help you be a success. Here are some other proven ways to increase your sales!
PROVEN WAYS TO INCREASE YOUR SALES:
1.      This is your business. Determine the hours each week that you can work on Avon and stick to these hours.
2.      Set personal goals. This can be dollar amounts, number of people you’ll talk to, etc. Challenge yourself each and every day, each and every Campaign.
3.      The brochure is your store; no one can shop without one. ALWAYS CARRY BROCHURES WITH YOU! Customers are more likely to buy a product if they can first see it or try it; order demonstration products and show them (wear them).
4.      Attach samples to the page on the brochure where the product is featured—customers will try it and make the connection that is it offered at a special price this campaign.
5.      Customer service is key; know your customers’ buying habits; let them know when their favorite cologne or lipstick is on sale.
6.      Consider sending newsletters to your customers with info on what’s new, tips on makeup or skincare, how our products compare to other brands, etc. (I like to use a blog for this.)
7.      Email your customers and invite them to purchase on your website. With the ability to sell throughout the country, your earnings potential is limitless! Use the automated email service Avon offers on the website.  Your customers will enjoy receiving them.
8.      Informative handouts received from the manager can be reproduced; make copies and distribute to your customers. (Also, check out www.facebook.com/groups/AvonFlyersByAlicia for more.)
9.      Call your customers before your order deadline—do this every campaign and the results will amaze you!  People “intend” to call you with and order, but often forget or get too busy…if you’re not calling them, you are missing orders!
10.  Wearing and using Avon products is great advertising. Your personal testimony concerning a product will MAKE THE SALE. Advertise byword-of-mouth and never stop telling people about Avon!
11.  Use a cross-reference directory at your local library or on the internet. You can obtain the names and phone numbers of people in your area so you can follow up on brochures you leave. Try internet site:  www.anywho.com
12.  Host an Avon party at your home.  At that party, offer a gift to someone who will host the next party.
13.  Talk to groups and organizations about selling Avon as a way to earn money for their group; order fundraiser materials available on the youravon.com website.
14.  Encourage customers to order more. If a customer orders lipstick, suggest a matching nail polish. If she orders fragrance, suggest another item in the same fragrance.
15.  Always ask customers if their purchase will be “cash or charge?” People buy more when they can “charge it”. You can get the NEW phone scanners that accept credit cards and checks* wherever your customers are. I have the one through Paypal.
16.  Learn about the Avon product line.  Customers like to purchase from knowledgeable sales people. Take the Beauty Of Knowledge Classes.
          
BOTTOM LINE:  BE ENTHUSIASTIC, SMILE, HAVE FUN-YOU’RE IN BUSINESS FOR YOURSELF…BUT NEVER BY YOURSELF!

Using the power of 3 everyday will keep your business growing. After your 4th order it will be more important to be following the charts below to make sure you’re not missing out on the next earning level. As you add orders, you can check your order cart for the estimated Order Size.  Remember, special items will have set earnings of 20-25%, but Avon products will fall into the earnings chart listed above.  As you approach each new earning size threshold, from one % to the next level, there are Sweet Spots in which you will receive a higher % and higher Sales Awards, but spend the same amount (or close to it) out of pocket!  Take a look:

Avon Leadership Tips: Third Order Email

Are you using the Power of 3? Have you thought about doing more online? Using the Power of 3, and adding social media to your Avon marketing can give you even a bigger growth opportunity for your business!


Network your Avon online:
Do you currently use Social Media for your personal contacts? Most Social Media platforms allow you to have a personal profile and/or a business page. I network my Avon on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, and a few other sites. I have set up business pages that are separate from my own personal profile. My friends and family members can follow my profile for personal posts (posts about my child, my dogs, humor, ect.) and they can choose to follow my business page. That way, I am able to post daily from my business pages without overwhelming my family and friends (or getting deleted for my excitement of Avon) – plus, I can grow new followers that are interested in our products, but may not be interested in seeing my personal posts. Review the Avon Policies and Procedures, and Advertising & Social Media Guidelines under the “My Community” tab in youravon.com before you get started.

After reviewing the Policies and Procedures, try your business page in the Social Media platform you feel most comfortable with. For content, Avon provides Social Media Tools in the “Web Office” tab of youravon.com with premade posts and videos. You select a post, and you will be able to share to Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest. You can change some of the content if you like, and choose your business page to post. The post will contain a link that will lead your followers straight to your Avon eRep website for shopping.

You can also shop your own website, and share from there. Again, you will be able to share a post, use the picture that is generated with the share buttons (or change the picture and replace with your own) and the post will link back to your eRep website.

Follow Avon on the same Social Media sites you are using for additional ideas. Remember – if you post without using the share button from youravon.com or your personal eRep website, always add your link for your website – you don’t want to drive traffic to shop Avon, and then not get credit because link was not direct to your own personal site!

Plus most sites, like Facebook, will allow you to promote your business page with advertising. Each social media site is different in pricing and how promotions work, but Facebook for example allows you to promote your page at just $1.00 a day.

Stay consistent, and do not get discouraged. I can assure you, building an online presence takes time but is worth it, just be patient! For a long time, I was worried my efforts were not building leads for my business, but I followed the golden rule of consistency, and now 60% of my sales are online, from customers I reached through Social Media.

How does Avon work?

How does Avon work?
Avon representatives have one Campaign every 2 weeks. During each Campaign, the Avon representative will collect orders from customers to submit on the representative’s submit date. All orders are submitted at once for the best shipping price. The total of all orders will determine what will be due to Avon based on the Avon pay chart (Avon Earnings Chart.) A representative will earn 20-50% from customer sales based on the Avon pay scale.

Once the full set of orders is submitted to Avon, the Representative will receive an estimated amount due to Avon right away. This is only an estimated amount, and may be adjusted based on sale prices, taxes, product availability, and other adjustments. The following day, Avon will have posted the Representative invoice that has been adjusted and will show the actual amount due to Avon.

The Avon representative invoice will group products based on earnings levels (if there are different levels,) demonstration products, and business tools. Each group will list the product, product number, quantity, price (brochure price,) total price (brochure price times quantity,) and your cost. The total price is the price that the Avon representative charges the customer, and the your cost listed is how much the Avon representative pays Avon. The difference between the price and your cost is the earnings the Avon representative has made from the sale.



How Avon works, the quick and general overview:
  • Avon customer orders product from Avon representative.
  • Avon representative orders requested products from Avon.
  • Avon charges the Avon representative a cost based on sales for the current campaign.
  • Avon representative pays Avon the representative cost.
  • Avon representative receives products from Avon, and delivers to customer.
  • Avon representative charges Avon customer brochure price.
  • Avon brochure price is higher than Avon representative cost. (As long as total of sale for the campaign are $50 or higher.)
  • Avon representative has earned money from receiving the brochure price from the customer price, and only paying Avon the representative cost.
  • Avon does not send money to the representative because the representative pays representative cost, and the difference in the representative cost and the brochure price is the representative’s earnings.
    • Keep this in mind when sending returns to Avon. Avon will credit the Avon representative the representative cost, not the brochure price.

Fill out the application; there is a $15 non-refundable start-up fee to become an Avon representative.


How does Avon pay representatives? 
Avon allows representatives to earn in different ways. An Avon representative can earn buy selling Avon products to customers and selling Avon products online, or by starting Avon leadership and building an Avon team. We will discuss earning from Avon leadership in another post, but let’s take a look at how Avon representative payment works on Avon sales.

When an Avon representative sells Avon products, Avon does not send the representative any compensation because the earnings are received by the representative directly through the customer transaction. (As explained above.)

Selling Avon online is free and easy with your Avon representative online store. Avon allows each representative their own online store with a unique URL so your customer orders will count towards your Avon sales for the current campaign. With the online store, a customer orders from Avon, pays Avon, and receives the product from Avon. The Avon representative does not need to be involved with the transaction, but will still receive the sales awards, and the earnings (as explained on the yourAvon.com website for representatives.) 

After a representative as received an online order, typically 2-4 business days, the representative will receive a credit on their representative Avon account. On the due day for the representative to submit customer orders to Avon, the representative cost for the submitted orders (by the representative's offline customers) will be adjusted for the online and offline total sales for the campaign. The following day, the Avon representative invoice will show the earnings from the online sales have been deducted from the amount due by the representative, and the representative will have less to pay Avon because of the credit from online sales, or may not need to pay at all! 

If the online Avon sales credit is higher than the Avon representative cost for the campaign order, the representative will not owe Avon…instead Avon will owe the representative. If the credit is more than $15, Avon will send the representative a check in the amount of the credit. (The representative may also sign up for direct deposit, and the amount will deposit direct to the representative’s bank of choice.) If the credit is less than $15, the credit will roll-over to the following campaign.

Avon Leadership Tips: Second Order Email

When you have new Avon representatives sign up, it is important to keep in touch as he/she learns this new business. Within 24 hours of sing up, be sure to send your new rep a Welcome Email.

I hope your customer base is expanding with referrals and that you’re telling everyone you know about the awesome opportunity Avon can offer them too! By doing this of course you can be on your way to Recruitment Bonuses up to $35 per person, advancement bonuses, NEW UL Advancement of $725 and residual income!
Remember consistent activity will = consistent income! Power of 3! Reaching out to 3 people a day everyday can bring you 21 new potential customers and recruit contacts a week!

Great Facebook Groups to Join:
1.     Makeup Marketing Online – This group is led by Emily Seagren. Emily was one of the first Avon Leaders I began to follow a couple of years ago, and boy has she taught me a lot! She has a great knowledge of online marketing and recruiting. Plus, Emily Seagren was just recognized as the 2015 Avon Woman of Enterprise! 
2.      Onward No Matter What! - Creators Molly Stone-Bibb and Lee Bibb are very active in what is new and happening in Avon. Molly has a reputation for having a big personally with big hair – straight-forward, likable, and positive! Do not be negative or disrespectful, this group is supportive and looks for solutions, and you will be “POOFED” off the page if you are not following the rules! No question is too big or too small, and this is a well-established group of motivated reps.
3.     Monday Morning Madness - if you are an Avon rep and you do not know who Lisa Wilber is…look up Lisa Wilber!  Creator of The Winner in You, Lisa is a MILLIONARE Avon rep who has been in the business since 1981. This group discusses all things direct sales and network marketing, and Lisa is one of the best in all of direct sales, not just Avon! No whining allowed in this group! Lisa knows how to work hard to earn, and have fun doing it, and she is a wealth of knowledge.
  1. MontAVON Climbers - Linda Marie Hoekel Montavon created this group for a place for all Avon reps to share photos, promotions, events, tips, inspiration to provide guidance and support for a growing and lucrative Avon home based business. Anyone can share ideas and advice.
During your order week, payments for the last order must be paid before you place your new order. To avoid a late fee please place your order on time & don't forget your brochures/samples to keep your store up and running! As a reminder: Payments can be made right online with the MY ACCT TAB - PAY AVON OR can be called in to 1-513-551-2866 on Fast talk. Say your Account # then make a payment. Have your card ready and speak your payment or you can make your payment at the Youravon.com with your credit or debit card or Quickpay if you have signed up. Please let me know if you need anything at all that's what I'm or your upline is here for. :-)

Remember, its key to:
1.      Pass out all your brochures to friend's family and associates. (Use your books wisely & recycle them)
2.      Get phone numbers and ask for referrals. Use the 10% referral system.
3.      ALWAYS make your call backs (95% of your business will be your phone callbacks) REMEMBER CUSTOMERS HOLD YOUR PAYCHECK! Tell everyone you meet about your AVON biz! If your Mouth is open; your store is Open. If your mouth is closed; your store is closed!
4.      Start or continue to refresh your Online Training if you haven't already at www.youravon.com Go to Avon University & explore!
5.      KEEP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE! Noah didn't build the arc overnight; it may take some time but be sure to put in your best effort! IT’S WORTH IT!

Avon Leadership Tips: First Order Email

Ok, so you have a new recruit signed up on your Avon team, and you are excited for them to get started…and to help them learn this new business opportunity they have signed up for. You sent a Welcome Email within 24 hours of sign up. Don’t forget to offer assistance and reminder tips at time of their first order!

In my First Order email, I like to welcome the new representative again, and give some basic overview information on registering on youravon.com, where to find training, a few handy tips, and a reminder of the new rep incentive currently running. I once again attach incentives for sales and leadership in the First Order email.

Welcome again in starting your own Avon business! How is your first week with Avon going?
Have you received your starter kit? Please let me know your goals, and let me know if there is anything I can do to help! I look forward to hearing from you if you have questions, need help or just want to share some great news! I recommend also having a separate checking account to use specifically to deposit AVON funds from customers. I find it helps to keep business funds and household funds separate.
Orders:
Your first AVON order is Campaign 16, due on Thursday 07/23 by midnight.
Representative processing schedule (RPS 06)
Your first 4 orders:
1st order : Campaign 16 due by 11:59pm on 07/23
2nd order: Campaign 17 due by 11:59pm on 08/06
3rd Order: Campaign 18 due by 11:59pm on 08/20
4th Order: Campaign 19 due by 11:59pm on 09/03
Your orders are due every other Thursday
ORDERS ARE DUE Always BEFORE the 12 midnight deadline (We save all orders until the date due and submit at once.) You can place the evening before if you work outside the home.

Have you registered on YourAvon.com?
1.     Go to yourAVON.com and register.
Input your new Avon Account
Number and explore and familiarize yourself with your new home.

2.     Create and open your Avon Web Store!
You have the ability to create and customize your very own personal web page, where you can direct all of your Customers to visit and shop with ease! Once you've set it up, your store is open for business 24/7.

It’s easy to set up. Here’s how:
1. Log in to yourAVON.com
2. Go to Web Office
3. Under Resources, click on NEW! Online Quick Setup

Let everyone know you have a new business by sending a Grand Opening email!
Follow this path: yourAVON.com> web office> marketing tools> send email> grand opening
Have you begun training on YourAvon.com?
Go to Avon’s training site, Avon University and start with the module “New Representative Playlist.” Please be sure to also take the course “Placing Your First Order.” You will find it in the course catalogue under “New Representative.”

SALES TIP
Want to immediately increase your earnings? Give everyone you know (plus those you don’t!), a mark. Magalog PLUS an Avon brochure and watch your sales grow like never before. Make sure you add your Avon Web Store link and all of your contact info!

And remember, you’re in business for yourself but not by yourself! I am committed to helping you every step of the way.

1.    Change your Email in the PROFILE tab at the top of www.youravon.com to something different that you will use just for AVON & check the account daily. This will keep you from missing anything important coming from me, the district or AVON.

7.    WEB OFFICE TAB:  Become an E-Representative and start your FREE online Web store today & pick your URL. Web office has a class also you can take when you’re ready under the training Tab.
