Avon Selling Tips: Back Ordered Items

Back Ordered Items

No one likes having to tell customers that an item they have ordered hasn't come in. However, it happens…fortunately, Avon gives us additional information so we can stay informed and let our customers know what is happening with their Avon purchase.

Invoices
Each time you receive an order, you should receive an invoice in your box of Avon items, unless you have signed up to go paperless. Either way, you will have your invoice available on www.youravon.com under the “My Account” tab. In the left-hand column you can find the link to look up your invoices. The most recent will be listed on top. I like to save each invoice to my desktop.
Avon Invoice on youravon.com

The invoice will include an Order Summary with an overview of your Avon award sales and estimated earnings. Below that, if you have any items not available, you will see a section of “Items Not Available this Campaign.” It will include an expected ship by date, or comments letting you know what information is available at time of invoice. On the below example, some items are expected to be in the Campaign 26 order. Other items show, “Out of stock. Will ship when available.” Occasionally, you will see instructions to re-order or a statement that will say no longer available not available for re-order. You will notice, you are not billed for these items at time of invoice.

If you have previously had back orders, the following section is “Items Previously not Available.” It will show in the comments when the item was first ordered. You can find these items to invoice in “Web Office,” after clicking on the “Invoice Tool,” you can click on “Items on Backorder” to find the product and what customer the product belongs to. (For more on invoicing, go to: Invoicing)  Notice, you are billed for the items at this time, but the award sales were credited to you at the time you first order.

When delivering your Avon orders to your customers, be sure to let them know if they have items back-ordered, and when you expect to receive the items from Avon. Customers prefer to know upfront if they are not receiving an item. I like to write the information on the order as well.

Having back-orders can be frustrating, but remember – this is a common situation that occurs in sales. Keep yourself informed by reviewing your invoices, and let your customers know to avoid any further frustrations. If a customer decides they do not want to wait for the item, and choose to cancel – no problem! Just give Avon a call, and they will take care of you!

Avon Selling Tips: Campaign 03 2015 Demo Time!

Avon Campaign 03, 2015 What’s New

Avon representatives – are you checking your Avon What’s New book in each of the orders you receive from Avon? This demo book comes to you free with each of your order submissions before the official start of that campaign so you can discover what will be new, and what great sales to look out for. You will be able to order jewelry, makeup, clothing, or other products before they are available for customers. With planning, you can sell more Avon in 2015! Try the new products out yourself before you try to sell them, or wear new products as you deliver the books to your customers so you can show off in person what they will see in the pages. Wear your beauty marketing, and be your own best business asset! When I wear a new product (or have it on hand) I make sure to mark the page and leave a note to my customers: “Ask me about this new skincare – I have been using it for 2 weeks now!” or “Ask me about this necklace – I have it on hand and would be happy to show it!”

The best part – your demo purchases will count towards your leadership sales to help you reach your President’s Club goal, and you get the demos at discounted prices! The Avon What’s New demo book will also contain samples and sales tools to order. (If for any reason you have not submitted an order for a campaign, you can still order from and view the What’s New demo book at youravon.com. When you are creating an order for yourself, there are tabs on the left hand side of the page. If you select “Order Demos” you will be able to browse the demo books.)

Prices: The demo book lists 2 prices: one price marked with an R and one price marked with PRP. The R price is for all regular Avon Representatives. The PRP price is for Avon Representatives that have achieved the President’s Club sales level or higher. (One of the great benefits of achieving President’s Club!) regular Avon Representatives will be able to order one of each demo. Representatives that have reached President’s Club or higher will be able to order the demos determined by achievement level. Some demo products allow for no demo limit, and all Avon Representatives are able to take advantage of that offer.

To order from the What’s New demo book, you can either use the product number when creating your order, or, once you are in the order for yourself – on the left hand side of the screen, you will see a selection “Order Demos.” When you click there, you can browse through the What’s New demo book online.
You will be able to order demos for the next 2 campaigns. For example, I am currently selling Campaign 1. When I click on “Order Demos” I am shown the What’s New books for Campaign 2 and Campaign 3. ***The What’s New demo books are for Avon Representatives only! Do not distribute these books!***

Avon Selling Tips: Personalize your eRep Homepage

“How do you post the current Avon Campaign brochure on the homepage?”

One step in learning how to sell Avon online is browsing through the different ways you can personalize your eRep homepage. Have you taken a look at other Avon representatives eRep homepage, and wondered, “How do you post the current Avon Campaign brochure on the homepage?” There are many ways to personalize your homepage, and the question I get most on my page is how to get the image of the new brochure posted. I have seen a couple of different formats, and different steps taken to get it done. Here is what I have learned in posting the current brochure to my homepage. I use Microsoft Internet Explorer, and have not been able to use these tips on other web browsers. (Please comment below if you have found a way to do so on other browsers. I would love to be able to do so with Chrome or Firefox!)

  1. After you log in to youravon.com, you will navigate to “web office.” You will find this as one of the top tabs across the selections at the top of the Welcome page – the tab is accessible through most pages on youravon.com.
  2. On the Web Office page, you will see 8 action boxes to choose from, and you will want to select the box titled “Edit My eStore.”
  3. When you enter into Edit My eStore, you will see what items you are able to edit with an icon showing a square with a pencil in the corner. The best area to post the most current Avon Campaign brochure is the largest center box. Click on the icon with the pencil on the large box to edit and add your personalization.
  4. You will see a pop-up box – the larger box gives you a preview of your selection and the smaller boxes across the bottom gives you the options available to choose from. Select the box entitled, “Personal Message.”
  5. You will want to enter your personal message as a SOURCE code. To do this, you will need to click the button that looks like this: </>   it the top right corner.
  6. Copy the code below:

  1. Paste the code you just copied from this page into the box on your Avon “Personal Message” edit box.
  2. Click the source button (</>) again to view the message you have created.
  3. From this page, you should see the Campaign 02 2015 brochure pictured to the right, “Add personalized title to your customers,” at the top, and “Add personalized message to your customers,” below that. Time to edit the Title and Message – be creative! I like to give the dates the current campaign will be online and post any current promo codes.
  4. Name and SAVE your Personalized Message. It is now published onto your eRep homepage!

***The code on this page is for Campaign 02 2015. You can update the source code for each campaign by going to the line in the code that shows:
src=http://www.youravon.com/REPSuite/static/catalog/2015/02/en/images/p1.jpg

Change the 02 to the current Avon Campaign.
